KARACHI (HRNW): A robbery attempt was thwarted near Al-Noor Mor in the Samanabad area, close to Happy Palace School, following an exchange of fire between the police and a gang of robbers. According to police officials, the encounter resulted in the death of one suspect, identified as Salman, while his female accomplice, Neha, was apprehended at the scene.
The incident occurred when the suspects were reportedly busy robbing a citizen. A police patrol arrived at the location, prompting the suspects to open fire in an attempt to escape. During the ensuing shootout, Salman was fatally wounded, while Neha was taken into custody. A third suspect, identified as Akbar, managed to flee the area under the cover of fire.
Police have launched a manhunt to track down the escaped suspect and are currently investigating the criminal background of the arrested woman and the deceased. Legal proceedings have been initiated, and the area remained under heavy police presence following the encounter to ensure public safety.
