Lahore (HRNW)- Nishat Group Chairman Mian Muhammad Mansha visited the Pakistan Railways Headquarters in Lahore and met with Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi. The meeting focused on increasing private sector participation in railway development and launching new projects under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) framework.
During the discussion, Federal Minister Muhammad Hanif Abbasi provided a detailed briefing on ongoing railway projects, infrastructure improvements, and opportunities available for private investment, particularly in freight services. He stated that, in line with the Prime Minister’s vision, Pakistan Railways is being developed on modern lines to achieve financial stability and strengthen its contribution to the national economy.
The Federal Minister also took Mian Muhammad Mansha to visit the newly established monitoring room and the Business Facilitation Center, where investors are being provided with information and services under one roof to encourage transparency and ease of doing business.
Appreciating the recent improvements in the railway system, Mian Muhammad Mansha said this is an ideal time for investment and announced that Nishat Group plans to invest in multiple Pakistan Railways projects. He emphasized that private sector involvement will enhance railway revenue and promote economic activity across the country. Both leaders agreed that strengthening public-private partnerships is essential to fully realize the potential of Pakistan Railways.
