LAHORE (HRNW): A severe traffic accident occurred near the Central Business District (CBD) flyover on Walton Road, resulting in the death of one woman and leaving three others critically injured. According to Rescue 1122, the incident took place when a speeding car lost control and crashed into the roadside iron fencing.
Upon receiving the emergency call, Rescue 1122 teams and emergency vehicles rushed to the scene to initiate relief operations. Four women were reportedly inside the vehicle at the time of the collision.
The rescue officials confirmed the following details:

Casualties: One woman succumbed to her injuries at the spot. Her body has been shifted to Lahore General Hospital for legal formalities.

Injuries: Three other women sustained severe injuries. They were provided with immediate first aid on-site before being rushed to the emergency ward of Lahore General Hospital for further treatment.

Cause: Preliminary reports suggest that high speed led to the driver losing control of the vehicle, which then impacted the safety barriers.
The local police have reached the site to clear the wreckage and restore the flow of traffic on the busy Walton Road artery. An investigation into the exact circumstances of the crash is currently underway.
