KARACHI (HRNW): Member of the Sindh Assembly (MPA) from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Sajjad Ali Soomro, has credited his electoral success to the deep-rooted affection the people of Lyari hold for Imran Khan. In a heartfelt statement, Soomro acknowledged that his presence in the provincial assembly is a testament to the trust of Lyari’s residents and their unwavering support for the PTI chairman.
“I openly admit that the success I achieved in Lyari is the result of the people’s love for Imran Khan,” Soomro remarked. He added that while he was not widely known before the elections, the voters of Lyari placed their confidence in him because of his association with Imran Khan, paving his way to the Sindh Assembly.
Highlighting the unique character of his constituency, the MPA described the people of Lyari as “beautiful-hearted, loving, and dignified.” He lauded the cultural significance of Lyari, calling it a model for Karachi and Pakistan. “Lyari is a beautiful bouquet of Pakistan, where Baloch, Kutchi, Niazi, Pashtun, Punjabi, Sindhi, Urdu-speaking, and Chhachi communities live together in peace and brotherhood,” he stated.
Soomro also praised Lyari’s sporting heritage, specifically in football and boxing, noting that the youth of the area—both girls and boys—have consistently brought international laurels to Pakistan. He concluded by reiterating his commitment to serving the diverse and vibrant community that has entrusted him with their mandate.
