US Consulates in Karachi and Lahore Closed, Visa Appointments Cancelled

Karachi (HRNW)- The US Consulates in Karachi and Lahore remain closed, and several visa appointments have been cancelled following the current security situation.

According to the US Embassy, both immigrant and non-immigrant visa appointments scheduled from today until March 13 have been cancelled. The embassy stated that affected applicants will receive instructions regarding new appointments via email.

Meanwhile, routine and emergency consular services for US citizens in Pakistan will continue despite the suspension of visa services.

It is worth noting that the US Embassy temporarily suspended certain consular services after violent protests erupted in various Pakistani cities following the assassination of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in a US attack.

In addition, US citizens currently living in Pakistan have been advised to stay informed about local conditions, follow news updates, and take necessary precautionary measures.
