Tehran (HRNW)- Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi announced that Iran’s missile range is deliberately limited to 2,000 kilometers and emphasized that the country is not developing long-range missiles capable of reaching the United States.
Araqchi stated that the new Supreme Leader will be elected by the Assembly of Experts, describing it as an internal matter of Iran. He stressed that the president, cabinet, and parliament continue to operate as usual and that no external pressure will be accepted in the leadership process.
He further highlighted the humanitarian impact of ongoing attacks, noting that citizens, students, hospitals, and civilian facilities have been targeted, with freshwater plants and refineries also damaged, causing widespread civilian casualties.
The Iranian Foreign Minister called on the international community to take notice, emphasizing that urban areas and infrastructure are being destroyed. Meanwhile, efforts continue to control fires in oil storage tanks, as thick clouds of smoke remain over Tehran following airstrikes.
