Washington (HRNW)- Despite heavy tensions and losses reported in the ongoing conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran, a group of Christian religious leaders gathered at the White House to pray for US President Donald Trump. According to the World News Agency, several clergy members assembled in the Oval Office where they surrounded President Trump, placing their hands on his shoulders and back while others formed a chain of hands during the prayer. The clergy prayed for God’s guidance, wisdom and protection for President Trump and the US military during the ongoing war against Iran, while also asking for safety for American soldiers.
A video released by the White House showing the religious leaders praying around the President has gained widespread attention globally. In the footage, several clergy members can be seen standing with their eyes closed in prayer while some place their hands on the President’s shoulders. Reports say these religious leaders traveled from different parts of the United States to the White House to pray for divine guidance for the President’s decisions amid rising tensions in the Middle East and ongoing military operations against Iran.
Meanwhile, a religious freedom organization revealed that some US military personnel have complained about a military commander allegedly claiming that President Trump was chosen by Jesus Christ to begin end-time events through a major war in Iran. According to the organization, several soldiers have formally objected to the statement.
