Washington (HRNW)- An investigative report by the American broadcaster CNN has claimed that Iran targeted several key defense systems in the region during the recent war.
According to the report, an analysis of satellite images revealed that Iran destroyed the radar of the modern American THAAD missile defense system installed in Jordan during the early stages of the conflict.
The investigative report further states that radars associated with the THAAD missile defense system were also targeted at two different locations in the United Arab Emirates.
Defense analysts say that if these claims are confirmed, the strikes would represent a significant development in the conflict, as the THAAD system is considered one of the most advanced missile defense systems used to intercept ballistic missiles.
