Karachi (HRNW)- The Sindh High Court has scheduled the hearing of cases involving eight Heads of Departments (HODs) of the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) for March 3, 2026.
The cases pertain to alleged illegal appointments, postings, and promotions at NICVD. According to court directives, the Secretary Health has been ordered to appear with a comprehensive report. It is expected that the Secretary Health will attend the hearing and submit a detailed report on behalf of the Health Department.
Sources indicate that the individuals involved in the case include Dawar Hussain, Muhammad Faisal, Khurshid, and Razia Urooj, among others. In total, eight officials are facing scrutiny over alleged irregular appointments and promotions within the institute.
Legal experts believe that the March 3 hearing could mark a significant development in the matter, with the possibility of a clear judicial direction or interim order that may impact the administrative policies of NICVD and the Health Department.
