Asifabad (HRNW)- Earthquake tremors that struck different parts of the Indian state of Telangana late last night have sent shockwaves through the public. People woke up from their sleep and came out of their homes due to the sudden tremors.
The intensity of the earthquake was recorded as 3.9 on the Richter scale. Its epicenter was located about 35 kilometers away from Manchriyal district. Locals say that during the few moments of tremors, furniture kept in the houses shook while some objects fell down.
Residents said that the ground shook for about three seconds. Objects were seen shaking in the CCTV cameras installed inside the houses, the videos of which quickly went viral on social media.
The administration has confirmed that the tremors of the earthquake were also felt in the border areas of the neighboring state of Maharashtra. However, no loss of life or major property damage was reported.
