KARACHI (HRNW) – 30 workers of Jamaat-e-Islami have been arrested in a terrorism case, according to official sources. Following the arrests, the party’s legal team filed a post-arrest bail application.
The Anti-Terrorism Court has issued notices for the hearing, which is scheduled to take place on February 19 at the special court established in Central Jail, Karachi.
The lawyers’ panel emphasized that protesting over Karachi’s civic issues should not be treated as terrorism.
