Islamabad (HRNW) — The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has launched a crackdown against drug trafficking in different cities across the country, conducting seven operations and arresting eight suspects.
According to the ANF spokesperson, a total of 272.15 kilograms of narcotics, worth more than Rs22.3 million, was recovered during the operations.
Details of the Operations
- Near Baleli Check Post, Quetta: 180kg of hashish was recovered from a vehicle, and two suspects were arrested.
- Near Bara Chowk, Khyber: 24kg of hashish was recovered from a vehicle, with two suspects arrested.
- Near the Motorway Toll Plaza, Islamabad: 12kg of hashish was recovered from two suspects travelling in a vehicle and on a motorcycle.
- Bahria Town, Islamabad: 200 grams of weed was recovered from two motorcycle riders.
- Dalbandin, District Chagai: 30kg of opium was recovered from the area.
- Samungli Road, Quetta: 24kg of hashish, skilfully concealed inside a refrigerator, was recovered from a courier office.
- Satellite Town, Quetta: 1.95kg of ice (crystal methamphetamine) was recovered from a parcel in which the drug had been concealed inside dried fruit.
The ANF stated that cases have been registered under the Anti-Narcotics Act, 1997, and investigations have been initiated.
