Ottawa, Canada (HRNW)- Former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has launched a media and entertainment production company called “Hope and Hard Work” alongside his longtime Chief of Staff, Katie Telford.
The company plans to produce and present stories across film, television, audio, and live entertainment, with the stated aim of encouraging greater understanding and stronger connections among people.
The name “Hope and Hard Work” is inspired by a phrase Trudeau frequently used in speeches after taking leadership of the Liberal Party in 2013.
Trudeau, 54, served as Canada’s prime minister from 2015 to 2025. He stepped down as Liberal Party leader in January last year, after which Mark Carney became prime minister.
Since leaving office, Trudeau has largely remained out of the public spotlight. His new venture marks a move into the media and entertainment sector following his decade in Canadian politics.
