Gaza City, Palestine (HRNW)- At least two Palestinians were killed and 13 others wounded in an Israeli airstrike targeting a vehicle in the Gaza Strip on Sunday, according to media reports.
The strike took place in the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood of western Gaza City, destroying the targeted vehicle.
Local medical personnel told Reuters that they were appealing to the public for information that could help identify the two deceased Palestinians, whose bodies were severely fragmented in the explosion.
The Israeli military claimed, without providing evidence, that the strike targeted two Hamas militants.
A US-backed ceasefire in October 2025 brought an end to large-scale fighting in Gaza, but Israeli attacks have continued, while efforts toward a lasting peace have seen limited progress.
