Dhaka (HRNW)- The swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected members of parliament was held in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, in which the successful candidates took the oath of office.
The Bangladesh National Party (BNP) won the general elections held a few days ago with a clear majority. After the election results, the newly elected members took the oath in the parliament session in accordance with the constitutional requirements.
According to political observers, after the BNP’s victory, the process of consultations regarding the formation of a new government and determining the policy direction in the country has accelerated, while the formal start of parliamentary proceedings is expected after the oath-taking.
