Deir al-Balah (HRNW)- Israeli strikes in Gaza have killed 29 Palestinians, including six children, despite a ceasefire. According to hospitals in Gaza, Israeli aircraft bombed a residential building in Gaza City and a tent camp for displaced people in Khan Younis on Saturday, killing at least 29 Palestinians. The casualties came as progress was being made towards the second phase of the US-brokered ceasefire, with two women and six children among the dead.
The attack in Gaza City killed three children from the same family, their aunt and grandmother, while a fire broke out in a tent camp in Khan Younis, killing a man, his three children and three grandchildren.
According to the Gaza Health Ministry, more than 500 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli fire and attacks since the ceasefire began on October 10.
The Israeli military, on the other hand, has yet to issue an official response to these recent attacks. The deaths are a reminder that despite diplomatic efforts, the loss of life in Gaza continues.
