Riyadh (HRNW)- Several attacks targeted energy facilities and economic centers in southern Saudi Arabia, triggering fires and temporarily disrupting some operations.
According to the Saudi Ministry of Energy, several people were injured and are receiving medical treatment. Authorities are securing the affected facilities, containing the fires and assessing the damage.
Saudi officials said the attacks targeted civilian and economic facilities in Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan and Najran, leaving 73 people injured, including women and children.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the Houthi attacks, describing them as attacks on civilian and economic facilities. Officials said necessary measures are being taken to protect facilities and personnel, while the full extent of the damage is still being assessed.
The attacks have raised further concerns over the security of Saudi Arabia’s energy infrastructure and regional oil supplies. Saudi Aramco facilities in Jazan have also reportedly come under attack in recent days.
