Jamshoro (HRNW) A high-level meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Jamshoro, Ghazanfar Ali Qadri, was held at the DC Office to review measures for preventing illegal wheat hoarding, ensuring the smooth supply of flour, and curbing profiteering across the district.
Addressing the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner stated that ensuring the availability of flour to the public at government-approved prices is the district administration’s top priority. He directed the authorities to take immediate legal action against those found hoarding wheat beyond the prescribed limit, confiscate illegally stored wheat and transfer it to government warehouses, and ensure strict implementation of officially notified prices of Flour at Mills/Chakkis
District Food Controller Shehzad Ahmed Shahani briefed the meeting and informed participants that successful operations had already been carried out against illegal wheat hoarding in Sehwan and Kotri, while inspections and monitoring continue in other parts of the district.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner-II, Mr. Muhammad Tarique Kaka, Assistant Commissioners, and officers of the relevant departments. Participants reviewed the ongoing enforcement campaign and discussed an effective strategy for future action against hoarding and profiteering.
