Government to Launch Home-Based Online Passport Application Facility for Citizens

Islamabad (HRNW)- The government has decided to provide the facility of applying for passports from home to citizens, with the aim of making the system more convenient and digital.
According to the details, an important meeting was held at the Directorate General Immigration and Passports under the chairmanship of DG Passports Muhammad Ali Randhawa, in which the technical team of NADRA also participated.
During the meeting, a detailed review of the existing passport system was conducted and various reforms were considered to make it compatible with modern requirements. A briefing was also given on introducing new technology and updating existing policies according to the vision of the Interior Minister.
It was decided in the meeting that citizens will be provided the facility of applying for passports online from home, which will make the application process easier, faster and more transparent.
According to officials, this step will save the public from the hassle of visiting offices and will make passport services more effective.
