Ugandan Army Chief Offers Support to Israel Amid Rising Middle East Tensions

Kampala (HRNW)- Ugandan Army Chief General Mahwuzi Kinyarwanda has expressed support for Israel in the context of escalating tensions with Iran, stating that Ugandan forces are ready to join the conflict if required. According to a foreign news agency, he said that while efforts should be made to stop the war in the Middle East, Uganda would stand by Israel if any attempt is made to weaken or defeat it.

The general added that the Ugandan army is prepared to provide immediate assistance upon request. Uganda’s military comprises approximately 45,000 personnel, and General Mahwuzi, who is also the son of President Yoweri Museveni, is known for his outspoken and often controversial public statements.

Defense experts warn that such remarks could further escalate regional tensions, as the potential involvement of additional countries may intensify the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
