Islamabad (HRNW)- The meeting between Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is being described as highly significant, especially as the Pakistan Army chief appeared in combat dress during the meeting.
According to media reports, the meeting took place during an important engagement that also included Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Images released from the meeting showed Field Marshal Asim Munir wearing the combat uniform of the Pakistani Armed Forces, which observers say carries strong symbolic meaning.
Typically, military commanders wear ceremonial uniforms during official foreign visits, but appearing in combat dress during this high-level meeting has been interpreted as a clear message of Pakistan’s solidarity with its long-standing ally, Saudi Arabia.
Analysts say the gesture reflects Pakistan’s commitment to its defense cooperation and historic brotherly ties with Saudi Arabia, reiterating that Pakistan stands ready to support the Kingdom’s security under existing defense agreements.
