Washington (HRNW)- US President Donald Trump has avoided giving a direct comment on the nomination of Mojtaba Khamenei, a possible new Supreme Leader of Iran.
In an interview with an Israeli newspaper, Trump briefly said, “We’ll see what happens”, when asked about the potential leadership change in Iran.
He added that any decision regarding the end of the ongoing war with Iran would be made in consultation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, noting that the issue has already been discussed with Netanyahu and a decision will be made at the appropriate time.
