ATC Orders Property Seizure of 47 Convicts in May 9 GHQ Attack Case

Rawalpindi (HRNW)- The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Rawalpindi has issued special instructions for the implementation of sentences against 47 declared accused in the May 9 GHQ attack case.

The court directed the concerned Deputy Commissioners to seize the properties of the convicted individuals and submit a detailed report to the court regarding the action taken. Similar instructions have also been issued to the Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi.

In addition, the court has ordered police authorities to take special measures to ensure the arrest of the accused.

It is worth noting that the court had sentenced 47 declared accused to 10 years in prison, imposed a fine of Rs550,000, and ordered the confiscation of their properties in connection with the May 9 attack on the General Headquarters (GHQ).

Among those convicted are Omar Ayub, Shibli Faraz, Shahbaz Gill, Murad Saeed, Zulfiqar Bukhari, Zartaj Gul, and Kanwal Shozab, along with others. The verdict was announced on March 7 by ATC Judge Amjad Ali Shah.
