Karachi (HRNW)- Following the use of Safe City cameras for e-challans, Karachi police are set to introduce a dedicated mobile app to issue traffic fines. Police officials say the app has been developed and will soon begin trial operations.
According to authorities, the app will be installed on the personal mobile phones of authorized police officers. During duty, officers will be able to capture images of any vehicle violating traffic laws in their jurisdiction. The system will automatically forward the image to the traffic e-challan officer, who will issue the fine. The e-challan will also indicate the responsible traffic officer who reported the violation.
