Mahmood Khan Achakzai Appointed Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly After Long Interval

Islamabad (HRNW)- After a long gap, the position of Leader of the Opposition in Pakistan’s National Assembly has been filled, with Speaker Ayaz Sadiq issuing a notification appointing Mahmood Khan Achakzai to the post.

During the session, Speaker Ayaz Sadiq announced the appointment and called Aamir Dogar to his chamber for the formal issuance of the notification.

Meanwhile, during the Assembly proceedings, Federal Minister Tariq Fazal Chaudhry suggested deferring the question hour, citing low attendance in the House following a two-day recess. However, Speaker Ayaz Sadiq rejected the proposal, stating that the members had worked hard to prepare and that the question hour would not be postponed.
