Lahore (HRNW)- Indian convert Noor Hussain (formerly Sarabjit Kaur) is likely to be deported from Pakistan today. According to security sources, the woman will be handed over to India via the Wagah border.
According to sources, 48-year-old Sarabjit Kaur arrived in Pakistan on November 4, 2025, along with Indian pilgrims who came to Pakistan to celebrate the birthday of Baba Guru Nanak. During her stay, she converted to Islam on November 5, 2025 and married a local citizen, Nasir Hussain, after which she was named Noor Hussain.
After the Indian pilgrims returned home, the woman was revealed to be missing on November 13, while her visa had expired on November 14, 2025. After the visa expired, the process of her deportation was initiated under immigration laws.
According to sources, Sardar Mahendrapal Singh, former head of the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, had also filed a petition in the Lahore High Court for the deportation of the Indian woman, but legal proceedings were initiated even before the court order.
Security sources said that Sarabjit Kaur and her husband Nasir Hussain were taken into custody by police and intelligence officials from the village of Pehre Wali in Nankana Sahib two days ago. After completing all legal requirements, the Indian woman is likely to be handed over to India through the Wagah border today.
