Karachi (HRNW)- The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), in coordination with a federal civil intelligence agency, killed a suspected terrorist during a joint operation near Jamali Pul in the Sohrab Goth area of Karachi.
According to a police spokesperson, the operation was launched after authorities received intelligence about the presence of terrorists in the area. An exchange of fire subsequently took place between the suspects and law enforcement personnel.
CTD officials confirmed that one terrorist was killed during the encounter. Sources said the slain suspect was allegedly involved in armed attacks targeting police personnel.
According to Chhipa sources, the deceased was identified as 24-year-old Sajid, son of Niaz Walid. His body was transported to Jinnah Hospital in a Chhipa ambulance.
The operation is part of ongoing counterterrorism efforts in Karachi aimed at disrupting militant activities and preventing attacks against law enforcement personnel.
