Islamabad (HRNW)- The Federal Constitutional Court has fixed September 14 for the hearing of a petition challenging the election of Sohail Afridi as Chief Minister.
A three-member bench headed by Justice Amin-ud-Din Khan will hear the case. Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Ali Baqar Najafi are also part of the bench.
The petition was filed by Sher Afzal Marwat, who has challenged Sohail Afridi’s election and also sought the restoration of Ali Amin Gandapur as Chief Minister.
According to the petition, Sher Afzal Marwat has contended that Sohail Afridi was nominated by the convicted founding chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
