Islamabad (HRNW) — President of Pakistan has approved the appointment of three new Additional Judges of the High Court of Sindh for a period of one year, with effect from the date they take oath of their offices.
According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Law and Justice on August 11, 2026, the appointments have been made under Article 175A(8), read with Article 197 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
The newly appointed Additional Judges are:
- Mr. Muhammad Humayoun Khan — Advocate High Court
- Mr. Suresh Kumar — District and Sessions Judge
- Dr. Shah Nawaz Memon — Advocate Supreme Court
The notification has been circulated to the relevant authorities, including the Judicial Commission of Pakistan, Supreme Court of Pakistan, Federal Constitutional Court of Pakistan, and Registrar of the High Court of Sindh, among other offices.
Expected Impact on Sindh High Court
The appointment of three Additional Judges is expected to strengthen the judicial capacity of the Sindh High Court and assist in the disposal of pending cases and the smooth functioning of judicial proceedings.
The appointments will remain effective for one year from the date of oath, in accordance with the notification.
