Israel Releases 37 Palestinian Prisoners, Freed Detainees Taken to Hospital

Khan Younis, Gaza (HRNW)- Israel has released 37 Palestinian prisoners, who were subsequently transferred to Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis for medical examinations, according to the Anadolu Agency.

The released prisoners arrived at the hospital through the Kerem Shalom (Kerem Abu Salem) crossing under the protection of teams from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).

Emotional scenes were witnessed outside the hospital as families gathered to receive their released relatives and embraced them after their return.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said the released prisoners would undergo necessary medical examinations and diagnostic tests to assess their health conditions.

The ministry said the detainees were in extremely poor health, alleging that they had suffered severe and systematic physical abuse and torture during their detention in Israeli prisons.

Medical teams are continuing to evaluate the released prisoners and provide them with the necessary care following their transfer to the hospital.
