Quetta (HRNW)- Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Friday formally inaugurated the air ambulance service in Balochistan under the name of ‘People’s Air Ambulance’. This service has been started to provide timely emergency medical facilities to patients in remote and backward areas.
Provincial Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar told Independent Urdu that this is a government public service consisting of two aircraft, which is equipped with modern medical equipment. According to him, this project has been started under the Balochistan Health Department, with the aim of providing immediate medical assistance to patients in emergency situations.
The Health Minister said that in case of any emergency, this air ambulance service will be provided on the request of the district administration or on the direct orders of the provincial government. However, he did not clarify how much money the provincial government has spent on this project.
According to the Balochistan Health Department, the main objective of this service is to provide timely emergency medical assistance to patients in remote areas and immediately transfer them to hospitals in big cities, so that precious human lives can be saved.
