Cheating Scandal Uncovered: Examination Center Sealed in Karachi’s Kala Board; Staff Suspended

KARACHI (HRNW)- Following reports of “special rooms” established for organized cheating at a government examination center in the Kala Board area, the Assistant Commissioner of Model Colony Division—acting on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Korangi—raided and sealed the Government Boys Secondary School. The Center Superintendent and the entire supporting staff were immediately suspended.

Swift Action and Reopening

The school was sealed for a brief period during the initial investigation. However, following a formal request from the Chairman of the Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK), the center was de-sealed within minutes to ensure that students’ academic schedules were not disrupted.

Continuity of Examinations

The Controller of Examinations, Ahmed Khan Chatta, clarified that the scheduled examination for today will proceed as planned. He assured students and parents that the examination process would continue without any delay.

Administrative Overhaul

To maintain the integrity of the board exams, the Assistant Commissioner has replaced the suspended staff with a newly appointed team, including a new Center Superintendent. District authorities have reiterated a zero-tolerance policy toward cheating and malpractice, warning that strict legal action will be taken against anyone facilitating academic corruption.
