Qatar Expels Two Iranian Diplomats Following Gas Facility Strike; Condemns Israeli Attack

DOHA (HRNW): In a swift diplomatic escalation following an attack on gas installations, Qatari authorities have ordered two Iranian diplomats to leave the country. Official sources confirmed that the diplomats must ensure their departure within a strictly stipulated timeframe.

Simultaneously, Qatar has issued a strong condemnation of an Israeli strike targeting Iranian energy infrastructure, labeling the action as both “dangerous and irresponsible.” According to the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Israeli strike hit energy facilities in Iran’s South Pars field, which is geographically an extension of Qatar’s own North Field.

The Ministry further asserted that such attacks pose a grave threat to global energy security and risk plunging the region into deeper conflict. Qatar has formally called upon the international community to take immediate notice of the situation and to establish safeguards for critical energy infrastructure to prevent further regional destabilization.
