Japan Rules Out Sending Forces to Clear Mines in Strait of Hormuz, Stresses Diplomacy

Tokyo (HRNW)- Japan has refused to deploy its forces to remove mines in the Strait of Hormuz, according to media reports.

Japanese Prime Minister Sanai Taikachi stated that Japan will not send military forces for mine-clearing operations in the strategic waterway. He emphasized that Japan will instead prioritize diplomatic efforts and international cooperation to ease regional tensions.

He further noted that any steps taken to protect sea lanes would be non-combat and limited in nature, focusing on peaceful measures rather than direct military involvement.
