Karachi (HRNW) — MQM-Pakistan leader Mustafa Kamal said that all Muslims share the same Qibla and strongly condemned what he described as the ongoing war in the vicinity of the Holy Mosques.
Kamal said that although Muslims may be sinners, they stand with their government and the Pakistan Army. He said that as soon as they receive guidance from the government, they would be ready to play their role.
“Being Muslims, these are our emotions,” he said, adding that they stand with their Saudi brothers and sisters and strongly condemn the situation.
MQM-Pakistan’s Position on New Provinces
Speaking about the creation of new provinces, Mustafa Kamal said that regardless of what name is given to such administrative units, he would continue to call them new provinces.
He said MQM-Pakistan believes that those opposing the creation of new provinces include some people who, according to him, do not even accept Pakistan, while others oppose the proposal because of their own interests.
Kamal claimed that resentment was being instilled in the minds of Sindhi people and that they were being told that the creation of new provinces would lead to violence and bloodshed.
He said this would not necessarily happen and referred to Karachi’s past, arguing that the city had previously experienced violence but that this situation had now ended.
Kamal said MQM-Pakistan had played a role in ending the violence, claiming that the party had taken difficult decisions in the interest of the public.
He also said that the party had initially tried to convince its leader, but when those efforts failed, it eventually separated from its leader. He challenged other political parties to show a similar example of leaving their own leader.
Concerns Over Interior Sindh
Kamal described the people living in interior Sindh as among the most innocent and vulnerable members of society. He said many mothers and sisters in Sindh had been sitting on roads seeking the recovery of their allegedly abducted children.
He described alleged kidnappings as a serious injustice against the people of interior Sindh and claimed that a significant number of Sindhi people support MQM-Pakistan.
