Azam Swati Urges Decision-Makers to Bring Imran Khan on Board, Calls for End to Political Hatred

Lahore (HRNW)- Senior PTI leader Azam Khan Swati has urged Pakistan’s decision-makers to reduce political tensions and bring PTI founder Imran Khan on board, saying that the current atmosphere of hatred in the country must come to an end.

Speaking to the media outside the Anti-Terrorism Court in Lahore, Azam Swati said that the gap between the people and the decision-makers has widened, and the powerful circles should understand the sentiments and pain of the public.

He said that Imran Khan is a great leader and will always remain one, claiming that a large majority of the public supports him. Swati added that Imran Khan cannot be released through abusive language or empty slogans, and political issues should be resolved through wisdom and dialogue.

The PTI leader also criticized what he called “Form 47 leaders,” alleging that such leadership has weakened the country’s foundations and cannot serve national interests.

Azam Swati further advised PTI workers not to be influenced by the aggressive tone of some vloggers, urging them to avoid emotional reactions and instead use reason and patience in the current political climate.

Earlier, the Anti-Terrorism Court Lahore, presided over by Judge Arshad Javed, heard the interim bail applications of Azam Swati, Jamshed Cheema and Masarat Cheema in cases related to the May 9 arson and siege incidents. The court extended their interim bail until April 3 and sought case records from the prosecution along with arguments from the lawyers.

Several cases, including those related to the Askari Tower arson and siege, have been registered against the accused.
