KDA Partners with Telconet to Digitize Citizens’ Records and Modernize File Tracking System

KARACHI (HRNW) – Director General of the Karachi Development Authority (KDA), Asif Jan Siddiqui, met with representatives of Telconet at the Civic (Sok) Center to discuss the integration of citizens’ records with an advanced computerized system.

During the meeting, a detailed briefing was presented on the proposed digitalization of all available records within the department. It was noted that following the successful bid in the open tender published in March 2025, a formal agreement with Telconet has been established.

In the first phase of the project, all existing records of the authority will be digitized, while real-time monitoring of proceedings in the Land Department will be ensured. The digitized data will also be organized into a secure archive system, allowing citizens to conveniently access information about their properties from home.

In the second phase, an efficient file tracking system will be introduced. Using barcode technology, the new system will enable timely tracking of files and ensure swift implementation of administrative actions.

Telconet will also organize a dedicated workshop at KDA, showcasing the complete operational mechanism of the proposed digitalization and file tracking systems. Following the workshop, formal approval of the project will proceed.

The meeting was attended by Member Administration/Senior Director Land Shakeel Siddiqui, Member Finance Nisar Ahmed Khan, Senior Officer Jameel Ahmed, KDA Secretary Arshad Khan, Director DPUD Rafiq Ahmed Khuhro, Director Land Atif Naqvi, Director Recovery Naveed Kolachi, Additional Director Recovery Arif Shah, Director IT Abbas Ali, and other senior officials.
