Bill Gates Admits ‘Big Mistake’ Over Past Association With Jeffrey Epstein at Washington Meeting

Washington (HRNW)- Microsoft founder and world-renowned philanthropist Bill Gates has openly admitted responsibility for his past association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, calling it a “big mistake.”

Bill Gates addressed the issue at a town hall meeting with staff at his charitable organization. In response to questions from staff, Gates acknowledged that it was his mistake to meet with Epstein and that he deeply regrets the decision, the foundation said in a statement.

Bill Gates clarified that he was not involved in Jeffrey Epstein’s criminal activities or any connection to the victims. He said that the meetings were ostensibly for charitable purposes and fundraising, but he acknowledged that the relationship damaged his reputation and that he should not have made such a decision.

It should be noted that Jeffrey Epstein was arrested on serious charges of sexual exploitation of underage girls, while he died in US custody in 2019.

For influential figures of the world level, personal decisions also fall within the scope of public accountability. Once trust is shaken, a mere apology is not enough, but transparency and continuous accountability are the only way to restore credibility.
