KP CM Sohail Afridi Condemns Military Operation in Tirah Valley, Cites Hardships for Locals and Animals

Peshawar (HRNW)- Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi has strongly opposed the ongoing military operation in the Tirah Valley, saying that people were forced to evacuate their homes during heavy snowfall, as a result of which not only the citizens were affected but also the animals in the area could not survive.

The Chief Minister said in a statement that the harshest conditions have been imposed on the Tirah Valley and the people had to face severe difficulties due to this move. He added that the Pakhtun nation did not agree with the committee members but they were forced to relocate under the operation.

Sohail Afridi alleged that Imran Khan’s elected government was removed through a regime change operation and when terrorists started resettling, jirgas and peace passes were held in Khyber, Hazara, Malakand, DI Khan and Waziristan to control the situation.

He warned that the interests of the Pakhtun nation were being traded and terrorism was being reimposed through illegal measures, while the previous PDM government had described these allegations as false propaganda at the time.
