Karachi (HRNW)- Municipal Commissioner New Karachi Town Munawar Hussain Mallah, along with Vice Chairman New Karachi Town Shoaib Bin Zaheer, visited various parks in North Karachi and inspected the ongoing development and rehabilitation works there in detail. On this occasion, he expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of the work being done in the parks. During the visit, Municipal Commissioner Munawar Hussain Mallah said that the administration of New Karachi Town is taking practical steps to provide basic civic amenities to the people of North Karachi, and special attention is being paid to making the parks a healthy environment and a center of quality entertainment. He clarified that modern facilities are being provided in the parks to provide affordable, safe and dignified entertainment to the citizens. The Municipal Commissioner said that quality chairs, swings and various toys for children’s entertainment will be installed in the parks, while separate walking tracks are being constructed for women and senior citizens so that they can walk easily. He further said that sports fields, open gyms and opportunities for healthy activities will be provided for the youth to attract the younger generation towards positive activities and promote a healthy lifestyle in the society. On this occasion, Vice Chairman New Karachi Town Shoaib Bin Zaheer said that the improvement of parks and the restoration of sports fields play an important role in keeping the youth away from negative trends. He said that the provision of sports and recreational facilities in New Karachi Town is among the top priorities of Chairman New Karachi Town Muhammad Yousuf, and all development projects are being completed keeping in mind the public needs. The Vice Chairman further said that balanced and safe recreational facilities for children, youth, women and the elderly are indispensable for creating a healthy society, and the current administration of New Karachi Town is serious and active in this direction. At the end of the visit, the Municipal Commissioner and Vice Chairman directed the concerned officers to complete the ongoing development works in the parks within the stipulated time and not to compromise on the quality so that the public can benefit from better facilities as soon as possible.
