Islamabad (HRNW)– Ambassador of Uzbekistan, His Excellency Alisher Tukhtayev, called on Minister for Defense Khawaja Muhammad Asif in Islamabad on Thursday to discuss bilateral relations and promotion of defense cooperation.
According to the Ministry of Defense, the Defense Minister said during the conversation that Pakistan attaches great importance to its relations with Uzbekistan, which are based on historical, cultural and religious harmony. He expressed his determination that Pakistan is looking forward to further partnership with Uzbekistan in various areas of mutual benefit, especially in defense cooperation.
Ambassador of Uzbekistan Alisher Tukhtayev also reiterated the strong commitment of the Uzbek people and government to further strengthen the relations between the two countries.
The regional situation and other matters of mutual interest were also discussed during the meeting.
