Quetta (HRNW) — Security forces have killed more than 71 militants during operations across Balochistan over the past 96 hours, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
According to the military’s media wing, 23 militants were killed during the previous 72 hours, while 11 militants were killed in Nushki on 25 September during a security operation.
The ISPR said that 33 militants had been killed so far during Operation Shaban. Security forces also cleared several militant hideouts and recovered weapons, ammunition and explosive materials from the sites.
In Mand, security forces conducted an operation and killed six militants whom the ISPR described as members of Fitna al-Hindustan. The forces subsequently cleared a large area of militant presence, according to the statement.
The ISPR described the militants involved in the operations as being linked to groups it characterises as Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan and alleged that some were backed by India. These are claims made by the Pakistani military authorities.
