MQM Pakistan Warns PTI Against Anti-Army Narrative Calls for National Unity

Karachi (HRNW) — Senior leaders of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan expressed serious concern over the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) anti-army narrative, stating that it poses a threat to national security and unity.

During a press conference at Bahadurabad, Dr. Farooq Sattar said that:

  • Propaganda against state institutions being propagated from inside jail is unacceptable.
  • PTI’s politics has increasingly focused on anti-military rhetoric, sidelining public service.
  • The events of 6-7 May and the 9 May 2023 incident escalated due to false narratives spread by PTI.

MQM Pakistan leader Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui added:

  • Pakistan is currently facing a critical phase, and all political parties must stand together for the country’s survival.
  • Recent developments suggest external forces may be attempting to influence domestic politics.
  • It is imperative for all political parties to unite and ensure that no internal or external power harms the nation.

  • The PTI chairman is not above the nation, its institutions, or the constitution, and his self-interest is increasingly a threat to national security.
  • India’s expansionist ambitions have been thwarted, and no one has immunity under the 27th Amendment.

MQM Pakistan emphasized:

  • There should be no division between the military and the people.
  • National security and unity are paramount, and all parties should adopt a joint strategy to protect the country.
