Tehran (HRNW)- Mohsen Rezaei, Secretary of Iran’s National Security Council, has said Tehran will not negotiate with the United States until its conditions are met, while warning against what he described as contradictory statements from US President Donald Trump.
Rezaei said Trump has at times declared that Washington would not negotiate with Iran and at other times expressed willingness to hold talks. He urged attention to Iran’s position rather than what he called Trump’s changing statements.
The Iranian official also said the situation surrounding oil supplies and the Strait of Hormuz has changed significantly following recent developments. He added that efforts to reduce the damage caused by recent events would not necessarily prevent further developments.
Rezaei reiterated that negotiations with Washington would remain off the table until Iran’s demands and conditions are fulfilled.
His remarks come amid continuing diplomatic efforts concerning the Strait of Hormuz, international oil shipments, and the broader conflict between Iran and the United States.
