Rome, Italy (HRNW) – The FAO and WFP continue to warn that acute food insecurity remains at dangerous levels across multiple global hotspots, with Sudan, South Sudan, Yemen, Palestine, northeast Nigeria and Somalia among the areas of greatest concern. Conflict, displacement, climate shocks and insufficient humanitarian financing are increasing pressure on already vulnerable populations. The UN food agencies are urging governments and donors to act before hunger emergencies deteriorate further.
