Rawalpindi (HRNW) — A woman who was allegedly brought to Pakistan from Bangkok on the promise of marriage has accused a man of repeatedly sexually assaulting her. Police have detained the suspect following her complaint.
According to the woman, she arrived in Pakistan approximately four months ago after the suspect allegedly assured her that he would marry her. She alleged that he subsequently subjected her to sexual assault on multiple occasions.
The woman further stated that when she asked the suspect to fulfil his promise of marriage, he allegedly continued to delay and avoid the matter.
Following the complaint, police took action and detained the nominated suspect. Further investigation into the allegations is underway.
