New Delhi (HRNW) – Indian Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has reportedly resigned from his position following prolonged protests over allegations of examination paper leaks in India.
According to reports, the resignation came after nearly two months of demonstrations led by the youth group Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) against the alleged paper leak issue, which increased pressure on the government.
CJP President Abhijit Deepke welcomed the development, saying that the resignation was a step toward addressing their demands but stated that further demands remain pending.
He said the protest would continue until additional demands are addressed, including compensation for families of students who allegedly died by suicide due to the impact of the examination controversy and action against officials accused of misconduct during police responses to protests.
