Dublin, Ireland (HRNW) – The Government of Ireland has opened applications for the Civil Society Fund 2027, supporting development projects in countries eligible for Official Development Assistance. The fund primarily supports Irish development organisations, while a limited number of international organisations working on human rights may be invited to apply.

💰 Funding Range
€50,000 to €800,000 per year
Projects may run for up to five years
Funding can cover up to 100% of eligible annual project costs, subject to programme rules.
📋 Eligibility Criteria
Primarily eligible Irish civil society and development organisations
International organisations may apply only when specifically invited
Irish organisations generally need at least two years of qualifying charitable registration
Applicants must demonstrate appropriate governance, financial management and safeguarding systems
Organisations must have experience managing or overseeing overseas development projects.

Submit required organisational documents, accounts and safeguarding policies
Send the eligibility package to the Irish Aid funding email
Eligible organisations will subsequently receive the full application form
Eligibility deadline: 11 September 2026 at 5pm
Full application deadline for eligible applicants: 2 November 2026 at 5pm
