Tehran (HRNW) – Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baqaie has strongly condemned recent US strikes on Iran, describing them as outright “aggression.” In his statement, he rejected Washington’s justification that the actions were taken in self-defense, arguing that they do not meet the legal or international criteria for such a claim.
Baqaie further referenced a US State Department document, stating that the United States had justified its actions on the basis of collective defense in support of its ally Israel and under the right of self-defense. He challenged this position, insisting that the rationale does not align with international law and warning against the escalation of tensions.
