Karachi (HRNW)- A total of Rs 89,92,829 worth of cheques were distributed to 20 retiring employees of New Karachi Town to pay their dues.
The cheque distribution ceremony was held under the chairmanship of Chairman New Karachi Town Muhammad Yousuf, in which Municipal Commissioner Munawar Hussain Mallah and other officers were also present.
Chairman Muhammad Yousuf said that “Along with local government services, we are also paying full attention to the rights of our employees. We are trying to ensure that the dues are paid in a timely and transparent manner.”
He also informed that a new agreement has been signed for group insurance of employees, under which the insurance amount will be paid to the heirs of the deceased employees in the future.
Municipal Commissioner Munawar Hussain Mallah said that the town administration is serious about solving the problems of the employees and these steps are proof of its commitment to the welfare of the staff.
At the end of the ceremony, the retiring employees termed this step of the town administration as commendable.
